Gorilla's Nest Hotel

General Description
Gorilla Nest is situated in Kinigi at the base of the Virunga Mountains. The lodge is located 2km west of the Kinigi Park Headquarters in a lovely rural setting. There is no electricity in Kinigi so the lodge operates a generator.

There is a spacious restaurant with a large bar and reception area that overlooks green lawns and a semi-circle of rooms. The rooms all look outwards into the Eucalyptus forest, pyrethrum farms and shambas beyond.  The Lodge is well constructed, with grass thatched roofs in traditional Rwandese style.

Nearby is a traditional Rwandese homestead for visitors to visit in their leisure time or after Gorilla tracking.

Accommodation
Gorilla Nest Hotel has 40 rooms - 13 are apartments, double rooms with a lounge area. The rooms are comfortably appointed, with en suite bathrooms and hot water.

Dining & Food
Food is based mainly on traditional recipes and served in the dining area. Picnic lunches can be provided for daytrips.
