General Description
Built of handmade clay bricks and creatively decorated, Eningu invites you to relax with its rustic, comfortable atmosphere. The uniquely styled clay buildings blend perfectly with the russet-coloured Kalahari sands of their surroundings. Eningu Clayhouse Lodge is synonymous with Namibia's tranquil and intimate style, combining high levels of comfort, hospitality and serenity.
While hiking you can have close encounters with a variety of game and birds. At the Lodge, enjoy a large swimming pool with a heated whirlpool, a rooftop deck, a telescope, an archery range, as well as exquisite fresh cooking and a wine cellar filled with selected South African wines.
Located 65 km from the International Airport and 110 km from the Namibia's capital, Windhoek.
Accommodation
Eningu Clayhouse Lodge has a total of nine well equipped and comfortable rooms, including two double rooms, five triple rooms and one family room with 4 beds.
All the rooms have en suite facilities, a sitting corner, desk, ceiling fan, heater for the chilly winter nights and a thatched patio. The rooms are beautifully decorated with unusual artworks and sculptures, antique furniture and hand painted floors.
Dining
During the long and warm summer evenings meals are served on the open verandah. There is a wide selection of excellent South African wines to accompany.
The rooftop terrace is the perfect spot to enjoy a ‘sundowner drink’ and a spectacular view of the sunset.

Activities
- Hiking trails across the Namibian bush savannah
- Botanical hiking trail will lead you through different zones of vegetation with explanatory information boards to a hut on mountain where you can enjoy a picnic lunch and sweeping views over the Kalahari. (approx. 6 hours)
- Use the hide at the water hole to watch the abundant bird life and the evening porcupine feeds.
