Bushmans Kloof
(Northern Cape and West Coast - South Africa)
General Description
Bushmans Kloof is a privately owned wilderness reserve and 5-star ecological oasis, world renowned for its 130 rock art sites. It has been declared a South African Natural Heritage site.
The road to Bushmans Kloof passes through some of South Africa's most beautiful, yet least explored countryside of rolling wheatfields and wide vistas. Lush green citrus groves line the route past Citrusdal. The climb over the Pakhuis Pass winds through gargantuan clusters of mottled orange boulders - a giants playground of weird shapes and forms that lead to the entrance to Bushmans Kloof.
Accommodation
There are 16 rooms and suites in the main lodge. Each of the seven luxury rooms are double (or twin) with a private patio overlooking the landscaped indigenous gardens, and with access to a nearby swimming pool.
The six double rooms all have a large private patio, bathroom and shower en-suite, heated towel rails, lounge area within bedroom, and fireplaces in some rooms. In addition, there are three spacious suites with king-size beds, large private patio, en-suite bathroom with Victorian bath and shower, and separate lounge area.
Alternatively, Koro Lodge is an existing farmhouse nestled in the reserve that has been completely renovated and transformed into a spectacular intimate villa, surrounded by open vistas of wilderness and wildlife.
