Bazaruto Lodge

General Description
Bazaruto Island Lodge is situated within the Bazaruto archipelago, now a National Park. The archipelago sustains a diverse range of fauna and flora including forest, savannah and wetland ecosystems. Part of the island is composed of enormous sand dunes, while the remainder of the island is thicket, grassland, shrub and wetland. Thick forests of casuarinas, coconut palms and cashew nut trees grow on its shores.
Marine species include dolphins, dugongs, humpback whales, marine turtles and the freshwater lakes in the area are home to crocodiles. The impressive beauty of the coral reefs complements this subtropical ecosystem, enriched by the abundance and rare beauty of the tropical fish, clear water and excellent surf.
Bazaruto Lodge is a 4-star retreat, perfectly situated to allow you to relax or enjoy the best of the many activities available on the island.
Accommodation
Accommodation consists of 26 thatched chalets scattered along a beautiful beach. Chalets range from standard to superior and honeymoon. There are also 2 family chalets with interconnecting rooms. All are en-suite with indoor bathrooms and outdoor showers, and come equipped with air-conditioning and ceiling fans, tea/coffee facilities and bar fridges.
Dining
Dinner is announced every night by the sound of African drums. The food is a blend of Mozambican and International cuisine with a focus on seafood and buffet grills. Meals can be enjoyed in the dining room or a la carte.
